RJM Music Mixes it Up On Broadway
Company’s Mini Line Mixer Makes its Mark in Green Day’s Hit Musical
am idiotVISTA, CA….RJM Music Technology, creators of fine electronic essentials for guitarists, has seen the company’s name in lights. Specifically, the rack lights of the guitar rigs of Green Day’s hit Broadway musical American Idiot. As Andrew Hans Buscher, the show’s head guitar tech, explains, RJM gear is a big part of the show’s acclaimed sound.
“We’ve got such a wide range of guitar sounds and different effects going on during the show,” says Buscher. “The Mini Line Mixer and RG-16 enable us to switch quickly and seamlessly between sounds. Our goal is to have the show sound every bit as good as the original cast album, and as Green Day in concert. RJM’s gear helps us do just that.” The original Broadway cast recording of American Idiot was announced in February, and will be available later this year.
RJM’s Mini Line Mixer is an ultra-compact, high-quality mixer designed to integrate a fully independent parallel effects system into any guitar rig. Using the Mini Line Mixer, guitarists can combine up to four mono or stereo signals into a single stereo output, making it possible to combine multiple effects signals in parallel with the instrument’s dry signal. The result is better sound with no loss of tone, clarity or definition. Time-based effects like delay and reverb no longer blur or muddy the instrument’s sound. And when used with one of RJM’s audio loop switchers, the Mini Line Mixer allows musicians to switch or bypass effects without clipping the effect’s natural decay.
Like all RJM products, the Mini Line Mixer is manufactured of the highest quality, low-noise components, and uses internal voltage conversion for maximum headroom. Its compact, quarter-rack space size makes it ideal for use in a rack or on a pedalboard.
mini line mixerRJM Music is well known among dedicated guitar aficionados for their high-quality electronic devices created specifically for guitarists and electronic musicians, including the Y-NOT, Amp Gizmo, Effect Gizmo, RG-16 and MasterMind. In addition to Green Day’s Billy Joe Armstrong, RJM users include a genre-busting range of accomplished guitarists including Allan Holdsworth, Dweezil Zappa, Paul Jackson, Jr. and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
The Mini Line Mixer is available at music retailers across the United States, including Sweetwater Sound, as well as dealers in Europe, Asia and Australia. For more information on the Mini Line Mixer and other RJM Music Technology products, visit the company’s website at www.rjmmusic.com.
