 problem with my Amp Guizmo
Hello, first, sorry for my english that is not perfect, because I'm french.
I bought a used Am Guizmo in January. It perfectly works until last week. I had unplugged the electrity from the Amp Guizmo.
Today, I turn on the Amp Guizmo, but it doesn't works anymore : it is always controlled by my MIDI controller (Glab Gsc2), but it don't change my Amp Channel (my Amp is a Mesa Nomad, and I have the approprate cable). And when the Amp Guizmo is connected with the Mesa Nomad, ther is a big noise, as a ground default.
Is this a problem known? Do you think the Amp Guizmo is out of order? Or it's just the cable? Is there something to do to reset completly the Amp Guizmo?
Thanks for your help.
Laurent

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
Does the noise still happen when the cable is plugged into the amp, but not plugged in to the Amp Gizmo?

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
The noise happen only when the cable is plugged in the Amp Guizmo.
If the cable is only plugged in the Mesa Nomad, there is no noise.

Okay, next thing to try - remove the two screws that secure the "To Amp" jack on the rear panel, and try plugging the cable in (just do it a little more gently now that the screws are missing). Does that help at all? (Isn't debugging fun??? )

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
Hmm... If you unplug the power supply from the Amp Gizmo, does the problem go away? And, is this an old (all-black) Amp Gizmo or a newer (silver face) Amp Gizmo?

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
If I unplug the power supplies, the problem is still here. The noise change with the button that are active, and is biggest when Function 2 is active.

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
This is not a problem I've seen before. If the noise continues when the power adapter is disconnected, that is really unusual. At this point, I think the only thing to do is to send it in to me and I'll figure it out and get it fixed... I won't charge you anything for it except shipping costs.

Re: problem with my Amp Guizmo
Ok, thank you very much.
Can you give me your adress? And tell me what documents I must send with the Amp Guizmo?
I have the original facture. I remind you I live in France.
